My Top 10 Organic Baby Food Brands!
1. Earth's Best - Not only is this brand one of the tastiest organic baby foods out there (and yes, I taste my baby's food), it is easily accessible since most grocery stores and superstores carry it. It is getting the number one spot since it is affordable, easy to find, tasty, and has a huge variety of products. I still use their organic rice cereal and oatmeal, and back in the day, Skye's favorite jar food was their Country Dinners.
2. Plum Organics - This brand also has a huge selection and it is easy to find in your local Ralph's or Target. Plum Organics is my go-to for baby food pouches and they are handy for on-the-go mealtimes! My baby never turned down a single pouch, which is pretty impressive, and she still loves their little snacks called Teensy Fruits! They are good to keep in your purse for snack emergencies or when your little one has grown tired of puffs!
3. happyfamily - They are high on my list just for their happypuffs alone! A mainstay in my house, I can't imagine going a day without them. They have saved my sanity in many baby meltdown situations, that I can't thank this company enough.
4. Ella's Kitchen - Now this one would be higher on my list if it weren't so expensive, but I really like the quality of their organic food products. My little one especially liked their meal pouches for babies 7+. And they get special kudos for accomodating special diets like gluten-free, vegitarian, and lactose-free. Skye is still enjoying their Nibbly Fingers!
5. SPROUT - This is another brand I find really tasty, but unfortunately, it does not fit into my budget. I gotta hand it to them, the combinations they put together are surprisingly unexpected! The Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese and Peach Pumpkin Pie with Graham, makes ME want to eat it! It also is challenging to find this brand in stores, so you're better off ordering it online.
6. Gerber Organic - I am extremely happy that Gerber decided to take the plunge and offer an organic line! But it is lower on my list mainly because they don't have much of a variety, and their fruit and veggie combinations lack imagination. If you want basic, okay tasting organic baby food, this is it. I also wish they offered their popular Wagon Wheels in an organic variety!
7. Yummy Spoonfuls - This organic baby food line has won numerous awards and it is sold in Whole Foods and online. They are very pricey, but they taste authentic and they aren't heat-treated like some baby foods.
8. Square One - Square One is unique in the fact that it is frozen, and unblended so you can pinpoint allergies easily. Additionally, their foods are organized into four color coded groups making it simple to know where the vitamins and minerals reside.
9. Little Duck Organics - They have organic baby snacks called Tiny Fruits and they are kosher AND gluten-free.
10. Revolution Foods - Squeezable fruit in a pouch called Mashables is their thing! Plum Organics (above) is their sister line.
